We’re proud to share that Diari Ara has featured Ming Productions in a story highlighting our journey and global impact in the world of cultural design. It’s a recognition that validates our ongoing commitment to creativity, local production, and artistic integrity.
Behind the most iconic museum keepsakes
From the MoMA to the Louvre, and from the MNAC to the Tate, Picasso Museum or Munch Museum, many of the items found in their gift shops —notebooks, mugs, scarves, plush toys and more— are dreamed up and created right here in Barcelona by Ming Productions.
It all began over 30 years ago with a clear mission: to bring art into everyday life through beautiful, useful objects. Today, that vision translates into partnerships with over 1,000 museums and cultural institutions worldwide.
Where local design meets global culture
The article highlights how from our studios in Badalona, Montgat, Dallas, and Tokyo, we design and produce items that merge art and utility – from a sleeping mask featuring Frida Kahlo’s eyes to a teddy bear with Dalí’s moustache.
Our strong commitment to local manufacturing allows us to ensure quality, sustainability, and faster logistics. And this close proximity between concept and creation is key to maintaining originality in every piece.
A tribute to art, craftsmanship, and people
As Ming Productions founder Benjamín Villa puts it, “The key is to stay respectful to the art and free in how we create.” We’re honored that a media outlet like Diari Ara has recognized a business model built on values rather than volume.
